Prof. G. B. Reddy is the founding Chair Professor of the DPIIR-IPR Chair at Osmania University established in 2021. He is a lawyer turned academician, and Senior Professor of Law at University College of Law, Osmania University. He specialized in the area of Intellectual Property as an independent researcher, publisher and teacher. He authored 29 well received books on law including Intellectual Property Rights and Law, Copyright Law in India. He also published 87 articles on law in standard law journals and edited books at national and international level, and 29 newspaper articles. He offered seven SWAYAM Courses, including one on IPRs and Competition Law. He has been a visiting faculty at several reputed institutions including the State Judicial Academy, State Excise Academy, CCRT, NAARM, TS Police Academy, National Police Academy, NALSAR University of Law, National Industrial Security Academy (NISA), Dr.MCRHRDI, APHRDI, Academic Staff Colleges (now HRDCs) of several universities across India.He was awarded the State Best Teacher Award by the Government of Telangana on 5th September 2021. He has offered 7 Swayam Courses/MOOCS as Course-Coordinator and one of the subject-experts, including a Course on Intellectual Property Rights and Competition Law in India. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Osmania University Journal of IPR (OUJIPR), which is the biannual journal published by the IPR-Chair.
